(Gardasil, the HPV vaccine made by Merck & Co., was licensed for use in June 2006. It targets four types of HPV: 6, 11, 16 and 18. Types 16 and 18 lead to cervical cancer. HPV 6 and HPV 11 cause about 90% of genital warts.
The vaccine contains a virus-like particle but not the actual virus. Three doses are given over six months to females aged 9-26.)
Vaccine Descriptions:
HepB: protects against hepatitis
DTaP: a combined vaccine that protects against diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis (whooping cough)
Hib: protects against Haemophilus influenzae Type b
PCV: protects against pneumococcal
dPolio: protects against polio, the vaccine is also known as IPV
RV: protects against infections caused by the Rotavirus
Influenza: protects against influenza (flu)
MMR: protects against measles, mumps, and rubella (German measles)
Varicella: protects against varicella, also known as chickenpox
HepA: protects against hepatitis A

Flu Vaccine
There are 2 types of influenza vaccine: an injectible “flu shot” and a nasal-spray vaccine.
• The flu shot contains killed virus. It is approved for use in people older than 6 months, including
healthy people and people with chronic medical conditions.
People who should be vaccinated include: People at high risk for complications from influenza. This includes:
2. People 50 to 64 years of age. (Nearly one-third of people 50 to 64 years of age in the United States have one or more medical conditions that place them at increased risk for serious complications from influenza.)
3. People who can transmit influenza to others at high risk for complications. This includes:
